Fairground Art is the international
reference work on the subject and was the first book to define the
extraordinarily rich history of fairground carving and painted
imagery in Britain, America and Europe. It traces the development of
these popular art forms from their inception in the nineteenth
century until the present time. Many of the colour and historic
black and white photographs have never before been published before.
