£31,250pa part time (£62.5K full time equivalent), 2.5 days per week

The Project Director, based at offices in Margate, will become the public face of Dreamland Margate, overseeing a small team, including a project manager that will commence work in bringing this exciting project to fruition.


The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic about popular culture and seaside heritage. They will have to show evidence of successfully delivering complex capital projects, fundraising, managing partnerships and have the presence, flair and people skills to maintain progress towards meeting tight deadlines.

The post-holder will understand the importance and value of creative and cultural initiatives in delivering sustainable regeneration projects. They will have high-level communication and presentational skills and will know how to allocate their time and delegate intelligently. 


The position will appeal to those either building a portfolio career or having taken early retirement. Familiarity with computers is a prerequisite.

Success with this initial phase could lead to oversight of the implementation of the development and potentially a second phase, which will see the listed Dreamland cinema building being restored as a major multi-purpose entertainment venue.
