The Mid Summer Common in the heart of the
University City of Cambridge, is the venue for the annual ancient Mid Summer Fair.The video begins with the arrival of the showmen's superb living
vans, and the ride transport. This is followed by the traditional civic opening by the
Mayor on the front of John Thurston's Dodgem track.
In brilliant sunshine, the many rides are then featured
in action. These include the Super Star, High Roller, Matterhorn, Tip Top, Twister, Flying
Coaster, Orbiter, Tagada, Waltzer, Gallopers, Big Wheel, Skymaster, Jump & Smile, etc.
The tape features a hi-fi
stereo soundtrack with no commentary.
