Both traditional and
modern rides stand side-by-side at the Great Dorset Steam Fair. The
latest thrill rides such as Billy Danter's Afterburner, Bernard
Matthews' King Loops and Shaw Wallis's Drop Tower are in contrast to
the older rides of Russell Cook's Skid, Allan Downs' Big Wheel and
Saunders' ex Harry Lee's Steam Yachts.
The major rides are featured in action
by day and night, together with views of some of the many showmen's
engines, fair organs and old fairground transport now in
preservation.
