First edition. Biography of the politician, philanthropist and engineer who lived in Kettering, Northamptonshire for most of his life (1847-1931). He is now most famous as the founder of Wicksteed Park, one of Britain's earliest inland pleasure gardens, still very popular to this day.

Condition: Very good. No dust jacket. 1 inch tear at top of spine, slightly grubby cover but generally sound book.
