Paying by Credit Card
We accept the following credit cards:
Visa and Mastercard (and
their derivatives) as well as Maestro, Delta, Solo, JCB
and American Express.
Using the Joyland Books Shopping Basket couldn't be easier.
To buy a book, simply click the 'Buy Now' or 'Buy' link, which you can find next to every
item. This takes you to the Shopping Basket. You will find the item you have chosen
displayed in your basket. (You can adjust the quantity by entering the number in the
"Quantity" box. Setting the quantity to zero deletes the item.)
You then set the delivery charge by selecting your location
from the pull-down menu:
- United Kingdom
- Europe outside the United Kingdom
- United States of America
- Rest of the World
Then click the 'Recalculate' button to show the
total charge. Do not use the 'Forward' or 'Back' buttons when in the
shopping basket. All prices are in UK Pounds; your credit card provider will convert as
necessary.
You can then either proceed to checkout, where you can
enter your credit card details, or alternatively you can continue shopping. Don't worry,
the item you have selected to buy will remain in the Shopping Basket and you can return to
it later.
If you choose to continue shopping, you can add as many
items to the shopping basket as you like. Each time you click 'Buy Now', the
selected item is added to your Shopping Basket. You can view your Shopping Basket at any
time by clicking the 'View Basket' link, which can be found at the top of most
pages. When you are ready to buy the item(s), simply return to your Shopping Basket and
click the 'Go to Payments' button.

a personal cheque. There is a link to printable order forms on most pages.
When you have entered your credit card details,
press 'Continue', and the order will be immediately processed (please
allow up to sixty seconds for the card to be processed). Note: For increased
security, online orders are processed immediately by the bank and Joyland Books
does not receive your credit card details. If you are pre-ordering a book that
is not yet in print (this is always clearly stated next to the 'Buy
Now' button), your credit card will still be processed immediately -
Joyland Books does not hold credit card information received from online
orders.

Payment by Cheque or
Postal Order
Most items can be purchased by cheque or
postal order. To pay in this way, click the 'Pay by Cheque' link which
appears on the details page for all items. This takes you to a printable order form. Simply
print out the form, fill in your name and address details, and send it to the
address shown on the form. Cheques/postal orders should be made payable to
"Joyland Books".
