1820 Dobby Horses

This 1946 picture shows the oldest ride at the park, a set of dobby horses allegedly from 1820.

Tower Pleasure Gardens illuminated
 
This 1949 photograph shows the fairground illuminated, with the Big Wheel clearly visible in the centre. The ride to the left is the park's Skid.

Kiddies Playpark

The Tower Pleasure Gardens had an area dedicated to smaller children. As can be seen from this 1949 photograph, this area had a children's version of the Big Wheel and Gallopers.

This section of the park was adjacent to the waterfront at the bottom of the hill.
