No park is complete without a
drop tower. This is an ideal attraction for
Dreamland - it takes up little space, is an
extremely thrilling ride, and can be seen from
outside the park.
The
ride is made up of one vertical steel tower
structure fixed to a steel base, which is kept
stable by means of four stabilising legs. The half
round-section vehicle can accommodate eight
passengers and it slides on the tower's external
structure. The vehicle is taken up to the top of the
tower by a steel chain. The vehicle is then
released, falling freely to the ground, and it is
finally braked by means of permanent magnetic
brakes. |
